Surfeitt was born in the colonial seaside town of Durban, South Africa, renowned for its art deco buildings (the widest variety of this architectural style to be found outside of Miami) and for being the largest Indian city outside of India.
Her style reflects the concepts, cultures and contradictions that interest her the most, influenced by her varied and stimulating background.
Since secondary school in Durban, she has studied music, fine art, art history and drama, and she has continued her studies in art at university level in Australia. Her art is available on eBay and Etsy.
